Dr. Kindra Orr BA DVM

Dr. Orr comes from a diverse equine background. After completing her undergraduate studies, she worked as a research associate studying mRNA expression in order to evaluate extracorporeal shockwave therapy at the Equine Orthopaedic Center in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Contemporaneously, she served as a Volunteer at the Rising Sun Horse Rescue in Longmont, Co. After veterinary school, Dr. Orr served as both an Intern and Imaging Fellow at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital. She also completed a 3 year Surgery Residency at Peterson and Smith Equine Hospital in Ocala, Florida. Dr. Orr has been published in the Journal of Molecular Evolution and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. She holds a Bachelors Degree with Honors in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado, and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University. She is a Member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Florida Association of Equine Practitioners.
