Matt is a local native to Lexington Kentucky and fell in love with thoroughbred racing as a teenager when he would regularly attend race meetings at Keeneland to handicap and wager local races. Matt joined Equine Analysis in 2014 after working at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital for 10+ years as an equine technician. Matt gained valuable experience in equine medicine including biosecurity, lameness, nuclear scintigraphy, MRI, and radiology which, combined with his degree in Computer Science, made him a perfect fit for the EA team. .

Since Matt has joined EA, he has assisted in developing testing protocols and deriving new algorithms through data analytics that have led to an increased understanding of equine physiology in elite thoroughbred athletes. In January of 2020 Matt was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Equine Analysis. Matt currently lives in Lexington Kentucky with his wife Stephanie and their three daughters.

Passion, integrity, and accountability were among the many things that were inspired by the horsemen in Andreu’s family. Starting his career on Santa Anita’s backside working for Breeders Cup Turf Sprint winning trainer Mike Puype, he then branched out to working for Jennifer Page in the Horse Identification office for Santa Anita, Los Alamitos, and Del Mar. During his time spent on the track Andreu quickly sought out to understand, more in depth, the foundation of thoroughbreds, which prompted his move to Kentucky and employment at Coolmore thanks to the guidance of his mentors Alex Solis II and Jason Litt. Redefining his knowledge of the industry through the guidance of the Coolmore staff in America, Ireland, and Australia, he experienced all the different facets of the business from breeding, foaling, early development, and sale preparation at the world class operation. During his time with Coolmore Austrailia, Andreu also had the opportunity to work for the racing team of Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott.

Upon his return to Coolmore America, Andreu was introduced to the CEO of Equine Analysis, Matthew Weinmann. After a few meetings with the EA staff, Andreu yet again found himself motivated to expand his thoroughbred knowledge even more by diving into the world of biomechanics and performance prediction of thoroughbreds through analytical work. After two years working as an EA technician, Andreu now applies his traditional knowledge of thoroughbreds along with EA technology and information to assist clients in every facet of their bloodstock needs.
